Web Copy Has a Shelf Life

Posted by danfurman - September 30, 2016 - Entrepreneurial Advice, General Copywriting, General Marketing, Success, Web Marketing, Website Copywriting

Every eighteen months or so, I get mad at my website, and change a few things.

This is because websites, as well as web copy, get old and stale. Styles change, tastes change, reading screens change, and so on. I’ll usually notice it with a drop in quote requests over a several month period. I start looking at my site, and change things that I don’t think are working. I also jump into my adwords account and muck around.

It’s a good exercise, and I probably should do it more often, but as a solo-preneur, there’s a lot of things I should do more often 🙂
