Website Statistics
Website statistics, such as time spent, page views, exit pages, etc, are very important to some people. I know I'm very interested in how much time people spend at my site and such. Here are some of my stats, culled from my log files. By the way, I use Web Log Storming as my log analyzer.
Dates: 8/1/2006 - 12/1/2006 (4 months)
Avg. unique visitors per day: 34 - this number does not shock me, as I only use Pay Per Click advertising and referrals.
Avg. number of pages viewed per visit: 3.3 - I think this is an incredibly HUGE number for an e-commerce service site like mine. This means the average visitor looks at over three pages. This means I captured interest.
Avg. time spent per visit: 4 minutes, 15 seconds. - This is how long the average visitor is here. Again, I feel this is a BIG, BIG number for a site like mine. This means people are actually reading my words.
Most common entry page: Index.html - No surprise here.
Most common exit page: free-writing-quote.html - This is somewhat surprising, because for many websites, the most popular entry page is the also the most popular exit page. That's because many people go to your site, take one look, and say "nah" for whatever reason. The fact that mine isn't like that makes me proud - most people are at least clicking somewhere.
Now, the question is - will you have numbers like this when I write for you? The answer is "I don't know."
That's because stats like this depend on a few factors - the quality of your visitor, your product / service, your layout. All kinds of factors. There are no "real" averages.
I put this page here because I think my numbers are very good, and reflect the quality of my writing. If you keep track of your numbers, I'll bet I can increase them.
Close Window
If the above "close window" doesn't work, it means your browser is stopping Java Script. No biggie. Just close the window with the little x in the top right corner, then.
