Press Release WritingPress releases have become very popular in the past few years. That's because the internet has made distribution easy and inexpensive. But that creates a problem The problem is, there are a lot of press releases out there. And there are a lot of really bad ones. Everybody and their brother writes press releases now. It seems like the goal is quantity over quality. I don't do that. What I do is write professional and interesting press releases that actually get read and circulated. Listen - anyone can throw a press release up online at PRweb.com. But in order for your press release to be picked up and distributed by news outlets, it has to be deemed interesting and newsworthy by news editors. My specialty is doing just that - I can speak with you, come up with a great angle, and write an interesting release. Heck, I can make the fact that you found some pocket lint this morning sound interesting and newsworthy (ok, not really, but you get the point... well, wait, what if I was writing for a new lint-free dryer...?) A "Clear-Writing" press release usually runs around $200-$250. And they are worth every penny. Get a Press Release Writing Quote today. Here are a few releases I wrote, and the story behind them:First up is a press release for Side Job Trader. You'll notice I mention that they took some heat from contractors. That's because my last release for them ignited a debate on several contractor messageboards (which delighted Side Job Trader, by the way - the release got them excellent press.)Next up is a release I wrote for Scottsdale Realtor Echo Farrel. I inserted a true blurb about myself into the story because it fit well (this is perfectly acceptable, as the anecdote is true). Now, the real neat part about this release was one month after it was released, Echo attended a seminar about marketing your real estate business. THIS VERY RELEASE was one of the handouts given out as an example of great marketing. Echo was stunned, and then Echo was proud. Last up is a press release we wrote for ComAlert. Com Alert CEO Sam Anderson wrote to tell us he got over 20,000 hits from this release. ComAlert was a great system, and it ended up getting such notoriety that the Government actually bought it. Did we help make that happen? Maybe. Again, press releases are a great way to market, and done right, they can really make a difference. Please note, I do not "release" press releases - that's up to you (it's really easy to do on PR Web and similar). But I write them like nobody else. Get a Press Release Writing Quote today. |
