Here's a posting I found on Craigslist:

Article writer wanted. You need to write 100 500-word articles. I will give you a keyword for each that needs to appear 15 times. I need the articles within two weeks, and I will pay $5 each.

Truthfully, I'd like to meet the people who posted that ad, and beat them up. People like that are what's wrong with the internet - they don't care about quality content - they care about spamming keywords, and little else. Like I said, the fairly un-writer-like 5'11" 225 lb Dan would be happy to lay some internet-improving smack down.

Ok, now that I feel sufficiently tough, here's the deal with articles and blog posts: I write articles and blog posts for people who actually care about the quality of them, and the image that their websites / posts project. My fees for such are negotiable depending on quantity, but generally fall around $100-$200 for a shorter blog post to $200-$500 for an article, depending on length/topic. Give me a large project, and I can likely do better.
