About Copywriting PricesOk, let's discuss copywriting pricing a little bit, because it's important. To start, let me ask you - what does profit cost? Or money - how much money is money? I don't ask these questions to be a wiseguy, it's to make a point. Because people hire me for important reasons - usually to either make money, or to clearly express what needs to be expressed. And I do both really well. A ComparisonThe best thing you can do if you have a price quandary is to simply compare writers. Because in the end, that's what's going to matter. For example, if you are hiring a copywriter for your website, you are likely hoping that your website will be up for years, and give you a solid return on your investment the entire time. Right? Thus, in the end, you are not really paying for writing - you are paying for years of business / revenue / profit. So you know what? Hire the best darn writer you can. Is that me? Well, obviously, I think it is. But if you are not sure, I encourage you to go ahead and compare websites and credentials. I organized and wrote this entire site - it's a superb example of my work. I've also been in business for more than a decade, and am a BBB member. Oh, I've got two business books to my credit as well (real books - as in, bookstore books). How much do I cost, and can you afford me?If you are any kind of professional company, yes, you can easily afford me. My pricing is unique to each project, so you'll get a custom quote for the exact work you need. But the below table will give you a good idea of what to expect:If needed, these prices generally include basic marketing advice as well (i.e.: coming up with a product name; headlines; helping you decide what webpages your site should have, what order they should be in, etc. I'm quite good at this.) Wait... I'm just starting out, and your prices are too high for me!!If you are a smaller business, or just starting out, my pricing may seem like more than you want to spend. That's fair. But think about the reason you are hiring a writer in the first place. Also, the entrepreneurial consultant in me would like to add "hey, this is part of starting a business."Seriously, it is. To give an example, when I started this copywriting business, I spent a few thousand dollars on a website and internet advertising. I didn't "have" the money for this, but hey, to compete, I needed a quality site and effective advertising. So I put it on my credit card, because that's what successful entrepreneurs do. They have a dream, and they take a shot. Sometimes, you just have to take a leap and give your business the best chance to succeed. And that means quality copywriting. Oh, and I take credit cards, too! If you are still reading, we should definitely talk.
